We believe that books are about education but they are also about
ourselves,
our community,
our hopes,
&
our dreams.
When you consider supporting the library, we hope you will think about what books really mean to you.
The Foundations Directors Board is composed of individual volunteers who value the Manchester City Library. We are convinced that dedicated individuals can create significant change and enhance our community by offering better educational and cultural opportunities for everyone.
The Foundation is looking to expand its’ outreach into the community and we need your help to grow! Currently looking for part-time volunteers for events, as well as dedicated volunteers to serve on the executive board throughout the year! To reach our objectives, we seek passionate, committed, and community- oriented individuals to join our board. Help us foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization for families, employees, the Board of Directors, and the wider community. You will have a chance to influence the future of children, families, and individuals in our community. You will collaborate with fellow Directors to contribute diverse perspectives and expertise, engage in initiatives to enhance Board governance, support the Manchester City Library’s growth, and leverage your knowledge and network to aid in the library’s development and fundraising efforts.
We meet every second Wednesday of the month at 5pm, in person at the library and online via Zoom. If this fits your schedule, why not join us?
Please send a resume and a brief letter about which position you think would be a good fit for you.
