Our library is generally open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
The library does stay open later on Tuesdays through Thursdays until 8pm.
On Monday and Friday, the library stays open until 5pm.
The library does respect federal holidays, so please visit the library website to confirm before visiting.
The city of Manchester is fortunate to have two public library buildings.
The Main Library is located at 405 Pine St, Manchester, NH 03104, across from Victory Park. The West Manchester Branch Library is located at 76 North Main St, Manchester, NH 03102, across from the Athletic Facilities Track & Field.
Pine St is a one way street. For directions, visit https://www.manchester.lib.nh.us/Visit-Us/Directions.
The city of Manchester has an online library catalog for you to browse at https://discover.manchesterlibrary.org/.
The Manchester City Library offers "passes" to many local and regional museums, for example: The Currier Museum, Millyard Museum, Museum of Science, and Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Passes may be reserved online with your Manchester Library Card.
Rules for borrowing a Museum Pass:
Due to the limited number of passes available, a family can only borrow one pass per week, and a specific museum pass only once per month.
Please contact the library if you are unable to use a reserved pass, since others may wish to take advantage of this service. Passes not picked up are considered a "No Show." After three (3) "No Shows," you will not be able to reserve/borrow passes for up to one year.
Visit Online at https://www.manchester.lib.nh.us/Find/Museum-Passes
Or Call Children's Services at 603-624-6550 x 7628 to make reservations.
