Established in 1991, the Manchester City Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to support the Manchester public library, specifically focusing on enhancing the resources of the Manchester City Library.

The Manchester City Library Foundation has hosted numerous events and raised funds to support various programs and projects for the library, including the renovation of the children's room and aiding in the financing of the Manchester Bookmobile.
